Special Needs Services Roundtable meeting

Please join us for our next SNSR Meeting December 5 Noon - 2 p.m. Location: Bloomfield Township Public Library If you would like to hear what services other libraries are providing for children, teens and adults with disabilities and/or learning differences, please join us for our next Special Needs Services Roundtable (SNSR) meeting! SNSR is an informal roundtable of librarians in Michigan working with people of all ages with special needs. Library Science students are welcome, too! Here is our December meeting's agenda: 1. Welcome & Introductions 2. Lunch & Share: Informal roundtable discussion/networking time Noon – 1pm New programs or services? New resources/vendors? New assistive technology? 3. Professional enrichment: 1 – 2 pm Presentation: “Accessible Programs in Museums for All Ages & Abilities” Caroline Braden, Accessibility Coordinator, The Henry Ford Chair, Michigan Alliance for Cultural Accessibility (MACA) Gain some valuable insight from the museum sector! Caroline will be talking about The Henry Ford’s sensory-friendly programming for families, autism advisory board, programs for people with dementia, and events for people with visual disabilities.
