Telling the Library Story with Data, 4-week online course

Project Outcome gave us a wonderful tool to collect and share library services data. What about the rest of the massive amount of data we collect? Telling the Library Story with Data An Infopeople 4-week online course, August 22, 2017 - September 18, 2017 Would you like to take your library's data and turn it into a story that resonates with stakeholders? Learners in this online course will identify inputs, outputs, outcomes, and anecdotes and shape them into a powerful story that demonstrates the impact of the library. Learners will be guided through the process of making data more meaningful and accessible. During the course, you will explore: * Components of effective data-based stories * How to classify data as inputs, outputs, or outcomes * Ways to visually present data * Best practices for infographic design The course instructor, Linda Hofschire, has more than 20 years of experience working in social science research and evaluation and is passionate about making data accessible and meaningful to users. Instructor: Linda Hofschire Fee: $125 for those in the California library community, $200 for all others.
