Usage of small appliances in childrens library programs

Hello! If you run programs for children or teens that use small appliances such as sewing machines, irons, or any other thing that could potentially cause injury, do you have any age restrictions at your programs? For example, 13 years and older can use the appliance independently, whereas anyone younger needs adult supervision? Furthermore, do you require adults to sign a liability waiver for their child under 18 to use any of these small appliances?
