planetarium show about JWST in Dearborn next Wednesday

Not directly library-related, but good news for people interested in astronomy in SE Michigan. The recently-appointed director at the Hammond Planetarium at Henry Ford College has announced a grand reopening show next Wednesday, titled “The Wonderful Webb: A Tour of the James Webb Space Telescope and Its First Images” He got so much interest after he first announced it that he has expanded to two shows that evening, with registration on Eventbrite. He suggests arriving early, as no one will be let in once the doors are closed (common for planetarium shows). https://www.eventbrite.com/e/388194679737 (7:00 PM show) https://www.eventbrite.com/e/388193817157 (8:30 PM show) As he is also the organizer of the Farmington Community Stargazers, he announced that they will have their first star party since early 2020 on September 6. Let me know if you want information on that. Jennifer Jennifer Dye Assistant Manager Detroit Public Library jdye@detroitpubliclibrary.org Knapp Branch 1330 Conant Detroit, Michigan 48212
