Re: [Michlib-l] EO 2020-181

To clarify: This 10 person restriction is the same one that has been in effect for a while in regions 1-5 & 7 (most of the state south of the top of the mitten). ALL this 10 person limit applies to are situations where people congregate in close proximity – parties, meetings, programs, weddings, etc. It DOES NOT apply to library occupancy overall. Libraries in regions 1-5, & 7 are still under the occupancy restrictions in section 6 of E) 2020-175 (the workplace restrictions) that restrict libraries and retail to 25% of occupancy for buildings with less than 50,000 sq ft of public space, and to 1 person per 100 sq ft for those libraries and retail with buildings of more than 50,000 sq ft of public space. Libraries in regions 6 & 8 are exempt from the occupancy limitations in EO 2020-175, but must limit situations where people from different households may get together for a shared activity. Thanks! This is incorrect, as it SHOULD read “people NOT from the same households.” Here is a corrected version of the information: EO 2020-176 has been amended by EO 2020-181 to again include Regions 6 & 8 (The UP and the upper Mitten) within the restriction of 10 and under attendance for Social Gatherings and Organized Events: “1.
