Patrons no longer need to manually add their home library card at a partner library. Instead, access to the partner library is granted automatically when a patron borrows or places a hold at a partner collection. * When a patron runs a search, Libby automatically checks the availability for the results at all partner libraries in the lending partnership network, even if the user has never visited the partner libraries before. Users will be shown the best circulation option, prioritizing loans over holds, across all their saved and partner libraries. * There’s a new, dedicated “Partner Libraries” list in the Libby menu, so patrons can easily see which libraries they have access to with their home card. * In the Manage Loan panel, loans from a partner library have an attribution explaining that the loan was made possible by your lending partnership. Other aspects of your partnership setup aren’t changing. You can still disable holds for partner libraries, give your patrons priority on holds, and choose whether visiting patrons can borrow certain lending models or Lucky Day titles. We plan to release this update in the next few weeks , after we finish testing the changes. In the meantime, please test the changes for yourself in Libby Beta and let us know if you encounter issues for your library.
