Has your library simplified browsing your cookbook section, without ditching dewey?? We have about 400 cookbooks (one row in our library) and I think we'd have better circulation if they were organized differently. Here's some of the thinking involved... our 2 salad cookbooks live between pizza and desserts, far away from the general cookbooks, so I'm sure browsing patrons miss them. Or a Jamie Oliver fan might see 1 cookbook in the general cooking thinking we own 1 Jamie Oliver cookbook, and they're actually more in different section. So my question to you...have you organized your cookbooks into less categories/sections, if so what are they, and what else have you learned. Please reply directly to mhohlbein@petoskeylibrary.org<mailto:mhohlbein@petoskeylibrary.org> I'll share a summary later with anyone who asks. Thank you!!! Mary Hohlbein Petoskey District Library
