The Neighborhood Library Association (NLA) is pleased to announce the selection of their ninth annual Community Reads book, *The Poisoned City* by Anna Clark. A full account of the Flint, Michigan, water scandal, an American tragedy, from an award-winning Michigan journalist, Anna Clark, *The Poisoned City* recounts the gripping story of Flint’s poisoned water through the people who caused it, suffered from it, and exposed it. It is a chronicle of one town, but could also be about any American city, all made precarious by the neglect of infrastructure and the erosion of democratic decision-making. Each of the six NLA libraries will host book discussions and book-related events, culminating in an author visit at 7 PM Friday, November 9 at Wixom Public Library. Participating libraries are Lyon Township Public Library, Northville District Library, Novi Public Library, Salem-South Lyon District Library, Walled Lake City Library, and Wixom Public Library.
