Greetings to the Collective! We are in the market for new public use computer chairs and I'm wondering if there are particular brands or features anyone would like to recommend. Perhaps I should add: For the lowest possible price... Any info will be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time! -Sharon -- Sharon Crotser-Toy Director *Watervliet District Library* 333 N. I recommend going with a chair that is not padded. I know what you're thinking "how mean! what about the comfort of our patrons with piles?" My logic: cushioned chairs get gross after a few years because of the great unwashed and spilled beverages that shouldn't even be by the computers anyway. No cushion also encourages people to either get up and step away from the computer once in a while and/or not to linger beyond a reasonable amount of public computer time. We bought these a few years ago from bizchair.com and they are holding up well: Mid-back black plastic swivel task chair item # RUT-A103-BK-GG Donna Winter, Automation Services Librarian Livonia Public Library 32777 Five Mile Road Livonia, MI 48154 ph: 734-466-2675 From: "Michlib-l" <michlib-l@mcls.org> To: "Michlib-l" <michlib-l@mcls.org> Sent: Thursday, April 19, 2018 4:35:28 PM Subject: [Michlib-l] Patron Computer Chairs Greetings to the Collective! The features that work best at our library are: non fabric upholstery so they are easily cleaned, and armless to accommodate large framed folks. Debbie Vercellone Sterling Heights Public Library vercelld@libcoop.net On 04.19.2018 4:35 PM, Sharon Crotser-Toy via Michlib-l wrote:
