Duties * Plan, implement, and supervise adult programs on a budget * Develop and maintain displays, including the bulletin boards * Develop and distribute fliers to advertise adult programs * Maintenance of inventory records * Supervise tax forms and voter registrations; book repairs; and Rotating Collections, including but not limited to packaging, cataloging, and shelving * Work with the Director to develop and maintain the Adult Collection * Perform all circulation desk responsibilities * Maintain the Friends of Swanton Public Library membership information * Record requests and reserves for material on order or to be placed on order * Maintain calendars including booking the Community Room * Supervise adult volunteers and community service workers * Opening and closing the Library as needed, including balancing cash drawers when necessary * Prepare monthly reports for the library newsletter * Performing all other duties as assigned by the Director * The duties and responsibilities of this job are subject to change without notice Qualifications * Competency in basic processing of books and filing skills * Ability to meet and deal effectively with the public and work as part of a team * Comfortable working a variety of technology * Good verbal and written communication skills * Flexible schedule including weekends and some evenings * Pass a background check * eReader and ILS experience a plus * MLIS or equivalent preferred Salary & Benefits * $9.00 - $14.00 per hour based upon education and experience * Paid vacation after one year * Sick leave accrual up to 32 hours per quarter * Two personal days per year Janelle Thomas, MLIS Director, Swanton Public Library  305 Chestnut St., Swanton OH 43558 http://www.swanton.lib.oh.us Ph: (419) 826-2760 ext. 208
