library programs in/about bars

Hi, Putting together some information for library board about interesting adult programming and hoping to share with them some specific Michigan examples of how library are doing outreach to adults in bars. If you could share with me any programs you are doing at bars or other off-site locations for adults that would be great. Also, if you are doing any program that includes alcohol. Don't need a lot of info, just your library's name and a bit about the program and when you had your event, and what the public reaction to the event was. thanks, lise -- Lise Mitchell, Director Grand Ledge Area District Library 131 E. Hi Lise, I have never done any library outreach to bars, but my family owns one of the oldest bars in the state (Walden's Lounge in Fenton, which is just south of Flint). I can give you insight from the bartender's stance if interested. Best, Charlotte Walden On Mon, Sep 8, 2014 at 2:40 PM, Lise Mitchell <gladldirector@gmail.com> wrote:

Traverse Area District Library has a Books and Brewskis book club that meets at a microbrewery across the railroad tracks from our main branch. The club meets once a month and participation is strong (just like the ale). http://www.tadl.org/event/filling-station/2014/09/30/books-brewskis Cheers! Scott W.
