Hi All, As part of the Library of Michigan's role in supporting the development, maintenance, and promotion of local collections at libraries and historical organizations across the state, we have recently created the MiLocalHistory listserv to provide an online forum for local history librarians and other practitioners: https://mail3.mcls.org/mailman/listinfo/mi-local-history Participants are encouraged to use the listserv to: * Exchange ideas. * Stimulate conversation. * Ask questions related to the management of local history collections. * Offer duplicate or unneeded local history materials to other institutions or groups. Additionally, the Library of Michigan's website now has a section on Local Collections Guidance and Services: www.Michigan.gov/MiLocalHistory<http://www.michigan.gov/MiLocalHistory>. Along with information about the MiLocalHistory listserv, find content on Local Collections Consultation services that are provided by Library of Michigan Special Collections staff, links to organizations that support local history, recommended guides on local history, and details for donating materials to the Library of Michigan.
