Memoir Writing Program Recommendation for Great Michigan Read

Hi Everyone, I'd like to pass on information about a wonderful program we're going to have at the Ferndale Library this Spring for our Great Michigan Read program. It's a memoir writing program put together by the women who own Your Personal Memoir, a business in town. More information about the program is listed below. They'd love to work with you if you're interested. They're very professional and lovely to work with. We're really looking forward to hosting them. *Memoir-Writing Workshop for Great Michigan Reads* *Your Personal Memoir, LLC. *– a metro Detroit-based memoir writing company – is offering a *“How to Write Your Memoir”* workshop to participating Great Michigan Reads libraries or any libraries interested in inspiring programming. The one to two hour workshop explains the value of preserving family stories, how to get started on a memoir, interviewing techniques and how to self publish. Participants will practice writing and come away inspired to record their stories to be enjoyed for generations to come. Your Personal Memoir is owned by Gigi VanderWeele, a former Detroit Free Press reporter, and Susan Carroll, a former human resources executive. The two help individuals or families preserve life stories with beautiful, heirloom-quality hardcover books. For more information visit www.yourpersonalmemoir.com .
