Save Michigan History is an initiative of the Michigan State Historical Records Advisory Board and funded, in part, by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.  The Save Michigan History program focus in 2018-2019 is providing basic archival education and onsite assessments to institutions or organizations that hold historical records.  An assessment consists of an onsite visit from a professional archivist and an accompanying report with recommendations on various aspects of the collection.  Completing an assessment will qualify an organization to apply for Save Michigan History grant funds in 2019-2020.

To be considered for a free archival assessment please fill out this
questionnaire.  If your organization has difficulty with the questionnaire, please contact us with any questions or to inquire about qualifying to attend a free basics of archives workshop in Dearborn, MI November 1, 2018.
