The Portland District Library is hiring a part-time library clerk, working approximately 26.5 hours per week. Duties include checking books in and out, processing books, helping patrons meet their information needs, and other tasks that go along with working in this busy library. The successful candidate must enjoy working with the public, have a friendly and positive attitude, and be computer literate and attentive to detail. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older, and have a high school diploma. The hours of work for the position will be: · Mondays from 2:00pm – 8:15pm · Wednesdays from 8:45am – 4:00pm · Thursdays from 4:00pm – 8:15pm · Fridays from 8:45am – 9:15pm · Every third Saturday from 8:45am – 2:15pm Applications are available at the circulation desk, and must be submitted by 5pm on Friday, March 29.
