101 Post-Alice: How USPTO and Practitioners are Reacting

"Alice" refers to a legal decision by the Supreme Court in the Alice Corp. vs. CLC Bank International about what aspects of technology can and cannot be patented. The decision will have a major impact on the Circuit Courts as they begin deciding upcoming cases.

The legal lecture will be followed by a panel discussion will run from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, followed by a question and answer period until 5:30 pm.

The Marburger Auditorium is located in the Science Building (S100) in Building #14 on the campus map (http://www.ltu.edu/map/). There is plenty of free parking in either Lot D or Lot C, which are closest to the Science Building. Enter the campus from either 10 Mile Rd. or southbound Northwestern Highway (by the tall entry sign).
