Hello everyone.

I have the opportunity to take some training and am having a hard time finding something that suits my search. Perhaps the collective wisdom of the list could yield a recommendation?

Here are the parameters of what I'm searching for in regard to continuing education:

-It cannot be a conference or anything like a conference.
-I'm especially interested in something in August or September 2015 but am open to hearing about other time ranges.
-I'm most interested in something that's in-person and in Michigan. However, I can visit other states too.
-It needs to be 4+ days long, but probably not longer than two weeks. I prefer in-person training/education instead of online instruction.
-It doesn't have to be offered from a graduate library school or through a library professional association, as long as it can somehow benefit work in a library. Topics of interest include: cataloging, eResources, teaching (especially online, and yes, I can see the irony), anything related to management, communication, marketing, graphic design, change management, etc.

Perhaps you have heard of a crash course, in-person event to learn graphic design, or maybe a course in marketing. Or perhaps you know of a college/university/or other training program that offers in-person courses related to these topics.

I welcome your suggestions. ~Ann
