Hello all, I’m looking for input on what other libraries are doing in terms of registering for a library card online. I’m finding that as we promote our digital/online services, patrons who are new to these services always ask “is there a way to register for a library card online?”. Our library currently only issues library cards to people who walk into our building. I’m wondering now if there are other things we can do to make registering (and using) digital library services easier? Do any libraries offer a way for people to register for a library card online? If so, how do you verify residency? Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help. Sheila Sheila M.
