[Michlib-l] Book amnesty

Has your library ever done a book amnesty week/month? We are considering it and want to know what pitfalls to expect. We don't charge fines so that's not an issue, but did you accept damaged books back? What about books that are so old they would never be put back on the shelf? Share your tips please.
