Public Library Directors,

We are excited to announce that the Library of Michigan is moving to a new and improved system for the collection of data for our annual statistical report. When the FY 2014/2015 Public Library Annual Report/State Aid Application opens on October 1st of 2014, the Library of Michigan will be using Counting Opinions’ Library Performance Assessment software LibPAS. This new software with its intuitive design, allows for a much smoother data collection process and many more robust reporting features for libraries.

The Library of Michigan will be offering LibPAS training webinars, open to all public library directors or their designated staff that complete the Annual Report/State Aid Application.   Public Library Directors will also receive a letter early next week containing their libraries login information, please feel free to explore the new software.  Acclimation time to the new software is anticipated to be very short as the survey order and data entry will remain unchanged.  However, the new software does have some features that users will not be familiar with and we ask you to please attend one of the webinars offered.

LibPAS Webinars:

•          July 1st at 1:00pm

•          July 23rd at 2:00pm

•          July 31st at 3:00pm

Participants may register to attend one of these webinars at http://www.solutionwhere.com/lom/cw/showcourse.asp?49

An archived recording will be made available for those who cannot attend.
