Printable Tags for Your USB Manual


Do you struggle to keep track of your USB Manual? Does one of your coworker's desk seem to absorb USBs and other small items? Well, the Printable USB Manual Tag is for you! Simply print the image on both sides of a sheet of card stock, cut, and attach with string. The odds of you keeping track of your USB throughout the summer will greatly increase!

The Three ‘R’s: A Solar System Craft Story

We know the three ‘R’s in public education stand for reading, writing, and arithmetic.  For public libraries, it might well stand for recycle, reuse, and repurpose.  A good example presented itself during the wrap up of our 2018 summer reading program.  With music as the theme, we had staff and patrons generously donate LP’s, 45’s, and CD’s for our use.  Knowing the theme for our 2019 summer reading program is space, it was not a far stretch to envision these same donations being recycled next year as the solar system.  An example of an LP reused for this purpose is shown in the picture above.  Please note, it is not made to scale and Pluto is included.  Guess aerospace won’t become the library’s fourth ‘R’!

Instructions for Accessing the 2019 "A Universe of Stories" Online Manual

Each purchase of any CSLP A Universe of Stories program manual format will also give access to the on-line version.  Below are the steps to access the on-line manual.

  • Go to:  https://cslpreads.org
  • You must have a CSLP login and password.  If you are not registered on the CSLP website, please create an account* by clicking on Login/Register in the upper right hand corner of the CSLP website.
  • Once you are logged into the site, click on Proprietary Downloads located on the tool bar.
  • The first time you enter this section, you must request the on-line manual access code for the 2019 manual by clicking on Obtain 2019 Online Access Code.  
  • Choose your STATE code.  (If you are from California, Illinois, Minnesota, or Virginia, you will click on Online Manual Request – CA, IL, MN, VA).  If you are from the state of Florida, please contact the CSLP office or the Florida state representative.)
  • Complete the request form with your:  City, Library Name, first and last name, and e-mail address and then click the Submit button.
  • The 2019 manual access code will appear on your screen and an e-mail confirmation will be sent to you.  You should only share this code with those staff members in your building who have a CSLP website account.  

Once you have the building access code, go back to the CSLP website Proprietary Downloads and click on:  2019 Online Manual.  From here you will be able to see each of the 2019 manuals to download or print any part you are researching.

*Creating an account on the CSLP website

  • Go to:   https://cslpreads.org
  • Click on:   Login in the upper right had corner of the screen
  • Click on:  Register under the CSLP login box
  • Complete the registration form with all required fields.
  • Click the I’m not a robot reCATCHA box
  • Click:  Register

Your registration needs to be approved and it may take 24-48 hours.  Once you have registered, you will be able to go back to the CSLP website to look at the manual, go to the shopping site, or see other items that are meant for librarians only.
