Designed for public library use in storytimes and for outreach to further develop early literacy skills in the young child, RTRM is meant to model to parents and caregivers the five practices of early literacy from the Public Library Association's Every Child Ready to Read (ECRR) initiative: talk, read, play, sing, write. This program is made possible by grant funds from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) administered by the State of Michigan through the Library of Michigan, and supported by the Consumers Energy Foundation and Library of Michigan Foundation. Questions listed in the survey include number of in-house programs around Ready to Read Michigan, outreach events/readings you offered for RTRM, how many attendees total for RTRM events, and the percentage of young children (ages 0-5) attended. Please keep track of those to help provide the Library of Michigan feedback. The survey also asks for additional feed back on the program as a whole, as we look towards shaping this new RTRM program for 2019, and for any quotes or stories you hear at the library regarding the program.
