Northville Library to host guest speaker Barry Levine on the Yankee Air Museum

Northville, MI: Enjoy learning a bit of Michigan History, regarding Belleville’s Yankee Air Museum, at the Northville District Library on Wednesday, November 10 at 7:00 PM. Guest speaker Barry Levine will present on the founding of the museum in 1981, the Bomber Plant (which produced over 8,600 B-24 Liberator bombers), the museum’s collection of flyable and static aircraft displays, and aircraft restoration. Barry Levine will also discuss the dedication and passion of the museum staff and volunteers, including the future plans of the museum.

Barry D. Levine is a volunteer at the Yankee Air Museum. His interest in aviation history goes back to when his father took him out to watch airplane landings and takeoffs at Bradley Field in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Barry had access to an extensive library of images, interviews with museum personnel, and a wide range of aviation literature sources.

This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Northville District Library. Please join us in person at the Northville District Library, in the Carlo Meeting Room. Face masks are recommended for attending in-person library events.
