
Hi all-- The library board is needing to define who would be considered a volunteer for background checks. The question is referring specifically to Friends, where there are members who only work the book sale for a couple of hours four times per year. It seems that the conditions would regard time in the building, whether they are supervised by staff or work alongside staff at all times, whether they work with children. Do you make distinctions based on conditions, or do background checks on any and all volunteers? Are your board members subject to these checks? Thanks for any assistance! melissa -- Melissa A.
