Apply Now for 2015 Summer Reading/Learning Grants

· YALSA is distributing twenty $1,000 summer reading resources grants.  The grant is meant to help libraries boost their collections by providing funds to purchase reading materials, especially those that help English Language Learners and struggling readers. 

· YALSA will provide 20 libraries with $1,000 each to recruit, train and compensate teen assistants to help with summer reading programs. 

Individual library branches within a larger system may apply. Applications are due January 1, 2015.   Funding is provided by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.  Learn more or apply at http://ow.ly/C8ajW

Apply Now to Receive a Free 3D Printer

3D Systems will donate up to 4,000 new 3D printers to museums and libraries across the country that join a new MakerLab Club and establish access to 3D printing and design opportunities for their communities.  Online applications accepted until November 17, 2014 at https://3dsystems.teamplatform.com/pages/78593?t=pz9ril1dlnna.  Donated printers allocated on a competitive basis.
