Plymouth District Library – Job Posting [ http://plymouthlibrary.org/ | http://plymouthlibrary.org ] TITLE: Library Page - Part-time, minimum of 9-12 hours per week Schedule includes day, evening and weekend hours, including Sundays. SALARY: $9.45/ per hour REPORTS TO: Page Supervisor JOB SUMMARY: . 1. Empties book-drop, sorts and re-shelves library materials correctly and neatly. 2. Shelf-reads and straightens materials on shelves. 3. Process daily newspapers. 4. Assists with meeting room set-ups, straightening and organizing tables and chairs. 5. Refers reference and other non-directional questions to appropriate staff member(s). 6. Assists in keeping library clean and organized. 7. Ability to maintain confidentiality and patron privacy. 8. Additional duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must be 16 years of age; a current high school student or hold a high school diploma or equivalent. If under age 18, a work permit is required. 2. Possess good interpersonal skills and be able to maintain a cooperative and courteous working relationship with the public, peers and supervisors. 3. Have the ability to sort material in alphabetical/numeric order. 4. Be punctual and able to maintain a regular work schedule. 5. Have the ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs. 6. Have the ability to push/pull carts and stand for continuous periods of time. Ability to bend, stretch and reach for continuous periods of time. 7. Able to follow directions accurately with attention to detail. 8. Able to work independently.
