There were two township proposals on the ballot yesterday for contracting services from the Peter White Public Library. Although they are probably not reading MICHLIB-L, we appreciate all the advocates for the library who came forward in each community!

 

Marquette Township millage renewal request of 1 mill as reduced by Headlee for a term of two years. Marquette Township has had a millage in place since 1993.

Powell Township millage request of 1 mill for a term of four years. Powell Township has been served by PWPL during some recent years, but for the most part has gone without contracted library service. A similar ballot measure in 2012 failed by nine votes.
