The Northville District Library seeks an enthusiastic, innovative Librarian to join our customer service directed team.

Position: Substitute Librarian
Must be available Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. on a regular basis throughout the school year. Availability for evening, Saturday and weekday shifts on an as needed basis is preferred.

Duties: Provide reference and reader’s advisory services for patrons of all ages, working at public service desk. Assist patrons with use of online resources, including databases and downloadable content.

Requirements: MLS from an ALA accredited college or university.
Strong public service orientation and the ability to work effectively with all age groups.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including friendly, approachable demeanor.
Strong online research skills and broad knowledge of popular electronic devices.

Salary: Salary: $18.00 per hour
