Hello all, October 1, is the start of the state's new fiscal year and also the official beginning of the new three year contract for core MeL databases. This new year has brought many changes - databases added/dropped/enhanced, the Teachers/M.O.R.E.<http://mel.org/teachers> resources no longer available, and the MeL Databases Help section rewritten, (among other changes with more to come). In case you missed it, a half hour webinar was presented September 30, 2015 covering the MeL New Lineup. It was hosted by David Votta of the Midwest Cooperative for Library Services<http://mcls.org/> (mcls.org) with presentations by representatives from Gale Cengage and Britannica Learning. It is archived and can be found along with the previous MeL Databases training videos and webinars at: http://mcls.org/mel/mel-training-events/ (the presentation slides can be downloaded by clicking on the link in the lower right corner of the viewing screen). It contains useful information about the InfoTrac Business Collection<http://www.galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-gale.php?database=GBFM>, Google classroom in select Gale databases, and the depth and variety of information to be found in the Britannica School<http://www.galesupport.com/migeoipcheck/migeoipcheck-brit.php?database=BRSCHOOL> segments. Start experimenting with our new resources and watch for more tips about using them. Michigan residents or Michigan library access only. MeL Minutes are brought to you by the Library of Michigan. Want more information on MeL? Stay tuned for next week's MeL Minute available on many Michigan library listservs, email us at contact@mel.org<mailto:contact@mel.org> or visit mel.org<http://mel.org/>. We encourage you to share MeL Minutes with your public service colleagues.
