The theme of the next FOML Trustee Alliance workshop is "Knowledge is Power: What Trustees Need to Know about Library Governance" and it's coming up on Friday, October 14th, 2016 at the Kalamazoo Public Library - Central Branch!
We have special guest speaker Josie Parker and her topics include:
- "The Power and Limitations of Library Trustees: What's Being a Trustee All About?"
- "Knowledge Is Power: Lessons Learned About Trustee Governance"
- "Talk About Trustees: What Knowledge About Governing Your Library Can You Share?"
- and "Knowledge Is Power: Lessons Learned and Knowledge Gained from Today's Workshop"
FOML Trustee Alliance workshops are a great time to network with other Trustee groups, tour the Kalamazoo Public Library, and spend a day learning how to support your library!
Registration will open soon at www.fomltrusteealliance.org. We will also have registration forms in the upcoming Trustee Alliance newsletter.
The FOML Friends Group workshop will also be held at the Kalamazoo Public Library the day before, on Thursday, October 13th. If you want to attend BOTH workshops, you save even more.
