Hello Everyone! Our library typically offers English Language Lessons (for 16 people) 2x a year. Our volunteer is unable to offer it this Spring (2025) due to surgery. I am thus urgently seeking a temporary replacement or replacements. We typically offer a Beginner and Intermediate Session. I require previous teaching or ESL experience for this volunteer opportunity. This class is currently offered on Fridays in the morning and afternoon. The dates are currently as follows: Beginner: Fridays at 10:30am-12pm 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9 Description: This class is for adult beginners who recently arrived in the USA/Michigan. We will have conversation time for listening, speaking, and writing. Also, a discussion of topics that are for the beginner level. The final class will conclude with a party type group activity. Intermediate: Fridays at 1-2:30pm 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9 Description: These sessions will be for intermediate/advanced level adults. We will discuss a variety of subjects during our 8 weeks of class. Also, friendly conversations with other students, listening and speaking in English. The final class will conclude with a party type group activity.
