Paul Bracke, dean of the Wayne State University Library System and School of Information Sciences[https://mcusercontent.com/71069e78b2e149adc34550c95/images/bd9cd132-bf2e-062...] was welcomed to campus on Thursday, October 19, at a reception with faculty and staff. Prior to starting his role as dean on October 16, Bracke was dean of the Foley Center Library at Gonzaga University's Spokane, Washington, campus since 2016. He also has served as associate provost for the Institute for Research and Interdisciplinary Initiatives for the last two years. He previously was associate dean at the Purdue University Libraries, where he provided leadership in technology, digitization, research services and assessment. Bracke's appointment follows an exhaustive and highly consultative search process, thanks to the dedication of the search committee, chaired by Irvin D. Reid Honors College Dean John Corvino.
