Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director for Public Services, responsible for the implementation of the Library's community engagement strategies and building collaborative relationships. Focuses externally and builds connections to the community to identify, plan and coordinate the development and delivery of innovative, responsive, high-quality programs and outreach activities for adults and general audiences that support JDL's priorities and fulfill its strategic objectives. Provides strategic direction using data about target audiences, library usage and trends. Demonstrates a passion for engaging the community and exhibits a positive approach while working with multiple-stakeholders using a high degree of diplomacy.

The basic requirements of this position include the ability to visually review materials, work a determined schedule, including day, night, and weekend hours. Stand, lift bend, stoop, push, pull equipment and material weighing 15 pounds or more. You must be able to manually manipulate keyboards, operate office equipment, and perform basic mathematical functions.
