Hello Everyone,
I am happy to announce that the Salem-South Lyon District Library Board has selected Paulina Poplawska to be our next Library Director! Paulina has served as the Library Director at New Ulm Public Library in Minnesota since 2018 where she partnered to bring library resources to local schools and senior assisted living facilities. Prior to that, she worked for Capital Area District Libraries as a Head Librarian at the Holt Delhi Branch, and Liberal Memorial Library in Kansas as an Assistant Library Director where she started her library career. She received her Masters in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University, and her Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University. Paulina will be joining our staff on Monday, November 15, 2021. We look forward to her new vision for our library!
