Hello, Bronson Healthcare Group is accepting applications for a Library Information Services Specialist. This is a full time position, reporting to Supervisor of Library Services, based in Kalamazoo. Responsible for providing access to information and supporting the information needs of the clients of Bronson's Health Services Library and Health Answers across the Bronson System. Primary duties and responsibilities include: * Provides information and reference support to clinical and nursing staff, residents, hospital councils and committees. * Conducts searches of the medical literature for staff as requested. * Provides document delivery/interlibrary loan service using Docline and OCLC's Worldshare. * Assists in implementing and managing electronic resources. * Participates in development and maintenance of library's website platform (TDNet) and website content. * Promotes library resources and services through marketing and outreach. * Designs and conducts instructional sessions for evidence-based information retrieval. The Information Specialist performs duties in areas where all ages are served. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. Preferred candidate will have: * Master's degree in Library Science required or obtained within 6 months of hire. * Experience in database searching. * Familiarity with health sciences resources including PubMed and CINAHL. * Experience in providing document delivery service working with special, academic and/or pulic libraries and consortiums. * Experience in instruction desirable. * Must be well organized and have excellent communication skills. * Interacting effectively with all types of library users. * Working both independently and as a team member and ability to set appropriate priorities for a variety of competing tasks Interested persons should apply at https://www.bronsonhealth.com/careers/ Please contact me to answer any questions or provide more information.
