The next FOML Workshop will be held this Fall with the theme "Good To Great: Becoming High-Achieving Friends" and it's coming up on Thursday, October 12th, 201

 at the Kent District Library Service Center! 

Topics will include:
  • "Friendly Advice: Helpful Information about Successful Friends Organizations" with Lance Werner, Director of the Kent District Library;
  • "Organizing and Planning Book Sales and Bookstore Operations" - a panel discussion with Laurel Ingram and Nancy Harper from the Friends of the Cascade Township Branch of the Kent District Library;
  • and Darnell Gundy-Reed, FOML Director and member of the Friends of Muskegon Area District Library, will host a panel discussion: "If Only I Knew How: Tips for recruiting, retaining, and developing volunteers and Friends board members."

For the afternoon discussions, please bring examples of handouts and presentation materials of past successful events, campaigns, fundraising, etc. to share with other groups.

These workshops are a great time to network with other Friends groups and spend a day learning how to support your library!
