Position: Librarian II - Supervisor

Department: Youth Services

Rate of Pay: $25.4516 to $32.0134 per hour

Hours: 40 hours / week (evening and weekend hours are required)

This position will supervise the Youth Services Department and youth programming at all GRPL locations. A strong knowledge of evaluation, assessment, creation and instruction of exciting and educational youth related practices and programs while executing a system wide vision of Youth Services is important to this position.

 The applicant must have an ALA accredited MLS degree and four years of progressively responsible professional librarian experience including work in the areas of reference, collection development, public service, public library service and supervisory experience.

 A commitment to excellent internal and external customer service and the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds are essential qualifications. Spanish language skills are helpful.

 The person must be able to sit or stand for extended periods in the performance of the job.  Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance is required.
