QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 18 credit hours towards an MLIS or equivalent degree from an ALA accredited library school, including collection development class and/or reference class; public library experience preferred; demonstrated competency with information technology including eMedia, electronic resources, online catalogs, the Internet, social media sites, mobile devices, etc.; knowledge of library materials, reference service, popular literature, readers’ advisory; ability to deal effectively with the public in a tactful, courteous manner; excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: Reference assistance and readers’ advisory; provides instruction and support for patron's use of eMedia resources and devices.
