Subject: [Michlib-l] Snacks/Food Handling at Programs

Would you be willing to share how your library currently handles food items at library programs, such as snacks or samples? Has it changed since COVID? Does your library have a policy or a practice around food at programming? Are there safety precautions in place, to what degree, do you use waivers?

Since COVID, we're curious about how to move forward with traditional things like sharables (such as splitting a pizza, or a large bag of chips in a bowl, or box of cookies at teen programs), use of individually wrapped snacks, or handling samples from cooking demonstrations or recipe challenges (for teen and adult programming). It would be helpful to know what others are doing.

Thanks!

Best,
