The Clarke Historical Library at Central Michigan University announces its annual competitive grant program to digitize a Michigan newspaper and upload it to the DigMichNews database. We welcome applications from Michigan libraries, historical societies, museums, archives, and other nonprofit organizations holding runs of newspapers. Read more about the application requirements and submit your application online. Completed applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on January 30, 2026.
The Digital Michigan Newspaper Grant program is supported by the Robert and Susan Clarke Endowment, with additional funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library of Michigan.
