Hello,
I have a patron that is looking for a book series he read in the 1970's, that featured an African American renegade detective ("kind of like Shaft"…patron's words), the patron is fairly sure the series takes place in Chicago and takes place during the 1960's/1970's. It's not Philip Marlowe of Raymond Chandler books…
Any suggestions??
