For example, often, when ordering something through their TS360 site – they list the price, but when it actually comes – the price is higher. Most times it is not that significant, but it adds up. Today I had two that were actually each $5 higher than their advertised price.
When I asked a few months ago, I was told that the prices that I see listed in their online catalog were not set in stone – and that they reserve the right to raise the price. The only way around this is to do this: Each time you want to order books, build your cart, but, instead of ordering right then and there, ask for a quote to be sent to you. This quote is good for 30 days and the prices listed in the quote will be honored.
This just seems like a ploy to get you to NOT ask for a quote – because who has time to wait for that? And, in this day and age, don’t you think they could get their prices changed on their website quickly. Or, do they wait until an order is placed – then go find the current price? Regardless, I don’t think this is a good business practice. I make ordering decisions based on the prices that I see at that time – and it seems like false advertising to change it. Maybe it is in their fine print – but the website doesn’t clearly state that the price is subject to change.
Has anyone successfully asked for refunds?
