At Novi, we participate and partner with our City to host a Veteran’s luncheon event. The library supplies gifts to the Veterans made from our Makerspace, as well as staffing to greet the Vets, and is also a judge for the essay contest that is hosted for high school students to share what Veterans Day means to them.

It’s a wonderful event and very meaningful!

How do libraries celebrate Veterans in November? Do you plan something special for them? We are thinking of either having a program or offering coffee and donuts prior to November 11^th (many veterans participate in parades and other festivities on that day).
