Subject: Galesburg-Charleston Library joins "fine-free" bandwagon
Thanks in large part to other libraries in the area leading this trend, including Buchanan and Kalamazoo Public, the Library Board wholeheartedly (but somewhat surprisingly!)
approved my suggestion that we eliminate overdue fines. As a result, I am pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2020, the Galesburg-Charleston Memorial District Library is going "fine-free!"
I hope you all have a healthy and safe start to your 2020!
