I once established a partnership with the librarian at Thumb Correctional Facility in Lapeer. They may be interested or could potentially place you in touch with another Corrections facility. They'll have a selective list of books, themes, and genres that are deemed allowable for their patrons. Best of luck!

Try checking with your local county jail to see if they could accept your paperback leftovers. Ours was very thankful for some. They weren't able to take any hardcovers but at least some of the extras got taken.
