In planning, organizing, and directing the Library's Public Services Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for directing vital public services working with a committed team of twelve cluster managers who supervise 49 branch libraries. Qualifications: Required qualifications include a Master's of Library Science degree from an ALA-accredited school; Washington State certification (to be completed within first year of employment); a minimum of eight years of supervisory/management experience in a public library; and a minimum of five years in a public library as a professional librarian. Additional qualifications include demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team environment; extensive project management experience; proven experience mentoring and coaching professional staff; and the ability to participate as a contributing management team member through strategic thinking, forecasting, budget analysis, and complex problem solving.
