[Michlib-l] Looking for a book

Hello Library World! I would like to ask for your help for one of our patrons. She is looking to find the name of a book about a baby owl named Oliver. When he was learning to fly, he got lost in the woods. A line from the book that she remembers is "The moon came up and Oliver shivered". She thinks it is circa 1943 or 1944. I haven't been able to find anything about a book that old with the character she is looking for. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
