The Alpena County George N. Fletcher Public Library is thrilled to announce that best-selling author David Sedaris has rescheduled his appearance initially slated for April 2020. Sedaris will appear on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 8:00 pm at the Alpena High School Auditorium. Tickets will be available for purchase through the Library’s website or in-person at the Library beginning at 9:00 am on Monday, December 5, 2022. Tickets will be priced at $25 main floor and $15 for the mezzanine and balcony. Sedaris will speak for 60 minutes, followed by 20-30 minutes of audience Q&A and a post-show book signing in the lobby. Books will be available for purchase from Parallel 45 Books and Gifts. 

David Sedaris is one of America’s pre-eminent humor writers. He is a master of satire and one of today’s most observant writers. The great skill with which he slices through cultural euphemisms and political correctness proves that Sedaris is a master of satire and one of the most observant writers addressing the human condition today.
