Greetings, Libraryland! The Belleville Area District Library will be hosting its first ever Local Author Fair on Saturday, May 20. Selected authors will have the chance to sell and sign their books, and meet and greet the local community. Authors of all genres, for all audiences, fiction and nonfiction, traditional or self-published are all welcome. The only qualifications necessary are that the author be local to Southeast Michigan, and have physical copies of a book to sell during the fair. Applications are available now; I've attached a copy to this email. We'll accept as many authors as we can, but due to limited space, acceptance is not guaranteed. Applications are due April 14. If possible, please distribute to any writers' groups, or pass the word on to any local authors you know who may be interested.
