Dear Library Directors, Trustees, Institution Administrators, and Library Users,
The Library of Michigan Foundation is pleased to announce that the
2019 State Librarian’s Excellence Award application is now available.
PLEASE NOTE: Branch libraries are eligible to apply for this award. The deadline to apply is Friday, August 16, 2019.
The State Librarian’s Excellence Award recognizes a Michigan Library that best exemplifies excellence in customer service. A $3,000 cash prize will be awarded to the winning library and $1,000 each will be awarded to the two Citation
of Excellence runners-up. All three award-winners will receive trophies for public display.
We hope you will consider nominating your library this year! Winners will be celebrated at the State Librarian’s Luncheon on Wednesday, October 16 during the 2019 Michigan Library Association Annual Conference in Novi.
